UNUSUAL CARGO.
CONSIDERED SOLUTIONS.

Some shipments do not fit a single mode or a standard loading profile. We assess the route, handling requirements and handovers before building a coordinated transport proposal.

For non-standard cargo, the useful work starts before a vehicle is booked. We assess the loaded dimensions, access, handling and transport stages with the relevant specialists to develop a practical movement plan.

Multimodal transport

Combine sea, road, rail or air where it suits the shipment.

Rail solutions

Assess rail routing and the road connections at origin and destination.

Project and oversized cargo

Plan around unusual dimensions, weights, equipment and site access.

Supporting arrangements

Coordinate customs requirements and specialist handling within the transport plan.

GOOD QUESTIONS.
CLEAR ANSWERS.

What do you need for oversized or project cargo?

Provide exact transport dimensions and weight, photographs or drawings, centre of gravity and lifting points where available. Add collection and delivery locations, site access details, available lifting equipment and the required schedule.

How are permits and specialist handling arranged?

Requirements depend on the cargo, vehicle combination and route. We coordinate assessment with the relevant specialists. Surveys, permits, escorts and lifting operations are included only when specified and confirmed in the movement plan.

How do you select the trailer and transport mode?

The assessment considers loaded dimensions, axle loading, centre of gravity, access and handling. A low-bed trailer or a combination of road, rail and sea may be appropriate. Equipment and routing are selected after the technical details have been reviewed.

How early should I request a project cargo quote?

As early as practical. Route and site checks, equipment availability and any permits or escorts can affect the preparation time. There is no single lead time for every project; the schedule is assessed for the actual movement.

Can a standard road route be used for an oversized load?

It should not be assumed. Bridges, clearances, turning space, road restrictions and site access can constrain the route. The proposed route must be assessed against the loaded vehicle and cargo before the movement is confirmed.
