GOOD QUESTIONS.
CLEAR ANSWERS.

FCL or LCL — which suits my shipment?

FCL reserves a container for one shipment; LCL shares container space with other cargo. The best option depends on packed volume, weight, handling needs and timing. Send the dimensions and cargo-ready date so we can compare suitable options.

What is included in a sea freight quotation?

Check the ocean leg, origin and destination handling, inland transport, customs services, validity and exclusions. Duties, taxes and storage are not automatically included. Our quotation should identify the agreed services and any separately payable charges.

What are free time, demurrage and detention?

Free time is the agreed period before certain container-use charges begin. Demurrage and detention can apply after it expires, depending on where the container is held and the carrier’s local terms. Some tariffs combine them; terminal storage may be separate. Confirm the applicable days and rates for each shipment.

How long will the shipment take?

We provide an estimated schedule for the proposed routing, including the agreed collection and delivery stages. Vessel changes, congestion, transhipment and clearance can affect timing. Treat transit times as estimates unless a specific guarantee is expressly agreed.

Which documents should I prepare?

A commercial invoice and packing list are common starting points. Transport documents and any origin certificates, licences or other supporting records depend on the goods, countries and customs procedure. We confirm the requirements for your shipment before departure.
