Privacy notice

Updated: 23 October 2026

Who is responsible?

Blue Marine Logistics Ltd. Contact for privacy requests: sales@bluemarinelogistics.com.

What we process and why

When you send an enquiry, we process your name, email, optional company and phone details, and the route, cargo and timing information you provide. We use these details to assess the request, prepare a quotation and respond. Fields marked as required are needed to handle the request; without them the form cannot be submitted. You may contact us by phone instead. Please do not send identity documents, health information or other sensitive data through this form.

For requests made in your own name, processing necessary to prepare or perform a contract is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For business representatives and general enquiries, we rely on Article 6(1)(f): our legitimate interest in handling business correspondence and organising logistics services. Security controls also rely on our legitimate interest in preventing misuse. Legal record-keeping obligations, where applicable, are based on Article 6(1)(c). Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

Tracking and technical information

Tracking is available without an account using a complete BML reference, MBL/HBL, container or booking number recorded in our system. Results show shipment status, route and map; prices, documents and personal contact details are not shown. Tracking numbers are not saved in browser storage. The detailed sea-freight map is supplied by ShipsGo. When it loads, your browser connects to ShipsGo and sends the selected container number and technical request information, including your IP address. A simplified route map is also available. Locations and arrival estimates depend on carrier updates and are not continuous GPS tracking.

Hosting infrastructure receives technical request information, such as an IP address, browser information and request time, to deliver and protect the website. Our form protection uses a short-lived hashed request identifier rather than storing the raw IP in the enquiry. The website does not use advertising pixels. An aggregate counter records page views and browser-tab visits without visitor identifiers, IP addresses, browser fingerprints or referrer information. A timestamp in session storage distinguishes a new visit after 30 minutes; it disappears when the tab is closed. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected.

Who can receive the information?

Access is restricted to authorised personnel and service providers supporting the website and correspondence. The website and its enquiry storage are hosted in our SuperHosting account. Information necessary to arrange a requested shipment may be shared with relevant carriers, warehouses, customs representatives and other logistics partners. We do not sell personal data.

International processing

International logistics and technology services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Any such transfer must have an applicable GDPR transfer basis, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the recipients and safeguards relevant to your request.

How long is information kept?

Website enquiry copies expire after 12 months from submission. Expired copies are excluded from the inbox and removed at its next access or form submission; authorised staff can delete them earlier. Short-lived rate-limit records expire after 15 minutes and are removed during subsequent requests. If correspondence leads to a shipment or must be retained for a legal obligation or dispute, the relevant business record is handled separately for the period required by that purpose. Hosting logs and backups follow the provider’s retention arrangements; you can request further details from us.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your personal data, and portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is used for a separate purpose, it can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions. Send requests to sales@bluemarinelogistics.com. We normally respond within one month; where the GDPR permits an extension, we will explain it within that month. We may request proportionate verification of identity.

You can complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP) or another competent supervisory authority. This website does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.
